Five Experiments That Will Test Z₉ Theory This Decade

Z₉ Theory makes specific, falsifiable predictions. DUNE, JUNO, Euclid, and other experiments will deliver a definitive verdict within the next decade. Here is what they are testing.

1. DUNE: Atmospheric Neutrino Mixing

The Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment at Fermilab will measure the atmospheric mixing angle θ₂₃ with unprecedented precision. Z₉ Theory predicts: sin²θ₂₃ = 4/7 ≈ 0.5714.

The current best measurement is 0.574 ± 0.014. DUNE will narrow this uncertainty by a factor of 3-5, directly testing whether the Z₉ prediction holds.

Z₉ prediction: sin²θ₂₃ = 4/7 — testable by DUNE (first results ~2028)

2. JUNO: Neutrino Mass Ordering

The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory in China will determine the neutrino mass hierarchy. Z₉ Theory predicts the lightest neutrino has exactly zero mass (m₁ = 0), which requires normal ordering.

JUNO is expected to determine the mass ordering at 3σ significance by 2028-2030.

3. Euclid & DESI: Dark Energy Density

The Euclid space telescope and the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument will measure the dark energy density parameter Ωₗ with sub-percent precision. Z₉ Theory predicts: Ωₗ = 137/200 = 0.685 exactly.

Current measurements give 0.685 ± 0.007—consistent so far. Euclid and DESI will test this to 0.3% precision.

Z₉ prediction: Ωₗ = 137/200 = 0.685 — testable by Euclid (data arriving 2025-2030)

4. Precision Electroweak: Weak Mixing Angle

The weak mixing angle sin²θW has been measured at multiple experiments. Z₉ Theory predicts sin²θW = 2/9 ≈ 0.2222. The current world average is 0.23122 ± 0.00003 at the Z pole, with running expected to bring the low-energy value closer to the Z₉ prediction.

5. KATRIN & Project 8: Absolute Neutrino Mass

Direct neutrino mass experiments like KATRIN and its successor Project 8 are approaching the sensitivity needed to test whether the lightest neutrino mass is truly zero. Z₉ Theory makes the sharp prediction m₁ = 0 exactly—any detection of a nonzero lightest mass would falsify the theory.

The key point: Every Z₉ prediction is a specific number. These experiments will either confirm or rule out the framework. There is no room for adjustment.
